To improve our job board and matching technology, we are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to contribute to our product. We work in cross-functional teams with many elements of SCRUM and follow a hybrid workplace model with offices in Vienna, Linz and Bratislava as well as many remote team members.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop software and product features based on epics, user stories and specifications prepared by the product owner

• Clarify technical questions with the product owner or product manager

• Provide effort estimations

• Implementation of Drupal modules and alteration of existing Drupal features

• Patch modules if necessary and post patches on drupal.org

• Research and analyze new technologies and methodologies

• Prepare and take technical/architectural decisions

• Test implementations with both manual and automated tests (behat)

• Improve our testing infrastructure in collaboration with the testing engineer

• Close collaboration with product owner, product manager, project managers and fellow developers

• Create and maintain documentation

Skills & Requirements

• Technical education and at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience

• Proficient knowledge of PHP, MySQL

• Experience in Drupal 7/8/9 is a plus

• Optional technologies we work with that are a plus: React.js, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, Apache Solr

• Ability to to work in cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal

• Excellent analytical skills

• Good communication skills

• Excellent English skills, German is a plus

• Experience with SCRUM or agile software development is a plus

• Minimum yearly salary for this position (full-time, 38.5hrs/w) in Vienna starts from 44.660,- € gross (IT KV, ST1 Regelstufe). Overpay is possible based on relevant job experience and skills.

• Flexible working hours: preferred full-time (38,5 hrs/w), part-time possible as well (32 or 36 hrs/week)
